Jul 2026 · International Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications · 0 citations · 31 references

Abstract

The focus of this research problem is the investigation of predictive models in electric power installation systems in an effort to develop New Renewable Energy (NRE) due to the challenge of depletion of fossil energy sources. This research proposes to investigate the deepening of education and training using the Soft-Starter (SS) and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) methods to produce efficiency and optimize the reliability of the electrical system. This investigation took information from the results of a technical study using ETAP. The results show that the use of a transformer with a capacity of 630kVA produces a 3-phase induction motor load of 534.5kW. Furthermore, the success of the SS method in reducing the surge during the start phase is 3.25 times the full load current, previously without the SS method is 5.75 times the full load current. The improvement in energy efficiency is shown by a decrease in transformer load from 85.2% to 76.5% due to a decrease in power consumption of 58.22kW. Finally, the conclusions resulted in a predictive investigation of the power system that has successfully demonstrated operational reliability, power distribution optimization.
