Abstract
This dataset contains anonymized data from 947 university students used in the study “Generative Artificial Intelligence Dependence and Entrepreneurial Opportunity Evaluation: Critical Thinking as a Mediating Mechanism and Generative AI Literacy as a Protective Resource.” The study examines the relationships among generative AI dependence (GAID), critical thinking in AI use (CTAI), generative AI literacy (GAIL), and entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation (EOE). The dataset includes 11 GAID items, 13 CTAI items, 8 GAIL items, and 5 EOE items, together with selected sociodemographic and GenAI-use variables. All analytical items were measured using a five-point Likert scale. Data were collected between March and June 2026 from university students in Lima, Peru. The public dataset was prepared for research transparency and reproducibility. Direct identifiers, timestamps, eligibility screening variables, and exact age are not included.
The method, ECCOLA, is presented, which aims at making the high-level AI ethics principles more practical, making it possible for developers to more easily implement them in practice.
