Abstract

This paper asks whether humanity is entering an age where artificial intelligence takes over its most important jobs, like doctors, lawyers, and journalists. It looks at real examples of AI already being used in medicine, law, finance, and news to show how far this shift has already gone. It explains why this wave of automation feels different from past ones, since it affects thinking and judgment jobs instead of just physical labor. The paper also weighs the benefits of AI helping workers against the real risks of job loss and over reliance on machines, and ends by saying the outcome depends on how well society prepares for this change.
