Abstract
FINDING: The Busy Beaver function BB(n) and the Church-Kleene ordinal ω₁^CK define the transfinite boundary of computability, where growth rates exceed all recursive functions and collapse into non-computable arithmetic truth. | MATH: BB(n) = max steps before halting among n-state Turing machines; BB(5) = 47,176,870 (recently proven); BB(n) grows faster than any computable function f(n) — i.e., ∀ recursive f, ∃ N: BB(n) > f(n) for n > N. ω₁^CK = supremum of all computable (recursive) ordinals — the first non-recursive ordinal; its existence is independent of ZFC in some formulations (arXiv:math/0307090v1). | CONNECTION: The growth rate of BB(n) is not merely exponential or hyper-exponential — it is *transfinite* in character.
