Hubungan Pengetahuan Dengan Perilaku Masyarakat Gampong Lampoh Keude Dalam Pemakaian Daun Ketepeng Sebagai Obat Anti Jamur
Abstract
Pityriasis versicolor also known as tinea versicolor is a skin disease that appears on the surface of the skin. Pityriasis versicolor is an infectious disease of the skin that arises due to a compromised immune system. The disease is caused by the fungus malassezia sp. A characteristic of this skin disease is characterized by itching, fine squama and the appearance of maculas on the surface of the skin. Anfungal creams and tablets are commonly used in the treatment of this disease. However, the use of chemical drugs can cause long-term side effects for health. The use of herbal medicines is considered safer than chemical drugs, because the side effects caused are relatively minor and even have no side effects at all. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and the behavior of the people of Gampong Lampoh Keude in the use of ketepeng leaves as an anti-fungal medicine. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling. The sample in this study was 87 people. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate tests. The results of the univariate test showed that the frequency distribution of community characteristics based on gender was the most women (56%), the most age characteristics were adults (26-45 years) (52%), the most occupational characteristics were IRT (26%), the most recent education characteristics were secondary education (66%), the level of public knowledge about ketepeng leaves had the most good knowledge (90%) and the level of ketepeng leaf utilization was the most is a high behavior (89%). The results of the bivariate test using the chi-square statistical test obtained a value of p = 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between public knowledge and the behavior of using ketepeng leaves as an anti-fungal medicine in gampong lampoh keude
