Abstract

Children’s pious character encompasses faith, worship, morality, discipline, responsibility, and social concern, manifested through daily behavior. Its development occurs not only through education at tahfizh institutions but also requires parental involvement through role modeling, habituation, guidance, motivation, and consistent supervision. This study aims to analyze parental roles, strategies, and factors in developing children’s pious character at Ma’had Tahfizh Kampung Qur’an Madani. The study employed a qualitative case study, using observation, interviews, and documentation involving parents, caregivers, ustaz/ustazah, and students. Data were analyzed through condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that parents function as role models, educators, guides, motivators, and supervisors, supporting prayer, Qur’an reading, murojaah, proper conduct, honesty, responsibility, and discipline. Supporting factors include family commitment and a religious environment, while inhibiting factors include parental busyness, gadget use, peer influence, and inconsistent parenting. The novelty lies in integrating these five functions into a sustainable educational ecosystem holistically.
