2026 · Business Inform · 0 citations

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the organizational and managerial principles of developing the competitiveness of economic entities amid structural economic transformations, the spread of sustainable development principles, business greening, and the acceleration of digitalization in managerial processes. The relevance of this research topic is driven by the need to rethink traditional approaches to creating competitive business advantages under the influence of stricter environmental requirements, resource constraints, digital transformation, the development of a circular economy, and the gradual integration of Ukraine into the European economic space. The aim of the study is to substantiate the methodological basis for building organizational and managerial support for the competitiveness of economic entities on the principles of sustainability, greening, and digitalization. To achieve the set aim, the article examines modern approaches to forming the organizational and economic mechanism for managing competitiveness and identifies directions for its substantive transformation. Traditional organizational and managerial levers are systematized, and the advisability of supplementing them with tools for strategic environmental management, environmental certification, green reengineering, ESG management, environmental branding, eco-design, product life cycle management, and circular business models is substantiated. The authors’ approach to forming an eco-oriented organizational and managerial mechanism for ensuring the competitiveness of economic entities is proposed, whose architecture involves the interaction of organizational and managerial blocks, as well as functional and target subsystems. The central element of the proposed mechanism is defined as inclusive digitalization, which is seen not just as a tool for automating managerial operations but as a foundation for transparent, open, and barrier-free interaction between businesses and stakeholders. The main directions for applying organizational and managerial levers in the areas of circular economy, product life cycle management, environmental certification, eco-branding, and eco-design are described. It is shown that the synergistic combination of eco-branding and eco-design ensures the simultaneous formation of both tangible and intangible components of competitive advantage, promoting resource efficiency, strengthening reputation, increasing consumer trust, and expanding opportunities to enter premium market segments.
