We study how magnetic fields affect the onset of quark saturation, which limits the domain of applicability of a purely baryonic description. We consider matter composed of electrically neutral $ddu$ baryons, including neutron- and $\Delta^0$-like states. Using a simple constituent-quark model, we compute the baryon wave functions and spectra in magnetic fields. The magnetic field polarizes the spin-flavor structure, compresses the internal wave function in the transverse direction, and strongly suppresses the transverse kinetic energy. From the baryon wave functions, we construct the one-body reduced density matrix and derive the corresponding single-quark distributions in longitudinal momentum and Landau-level space. We then use these distributions to evaluate quark occupation probabilities in an ideal baryon gas and determine the onset of quark saturation. At finite magnetic field in the $+z$-direction, the $d_\downarrow$ quark in the lowest Landau level reaches saturation first. The resulting saturation density depends nonmonotonically on the magnetic-field strength: it decreases at weak fields and increases at stronger fields. This behavior reflects the competition between spin-flavor polarization, which promotes saturation, and transverse spatial squeezing, which delays saturation by broadening of the quark transverse momentum distribution.
The lifetime of the strong magnetic field generated in relativistic heavy-ion collisions remains one of the major open questions in the study of the quark--gluon plasma. We propose heavy-quark spin precession as a probe to quantify the magnetic field and its profile in such collisions. We investigate the Larmor evoluti...
We examine spin-polarized Strange Quark Matter and the complex structure of Strange Quark Stars in the presence of a strong magnetic field. Our framework uses a quasiparticle model, enhanced by a QCD-informed effective quark mass dependent on both chemical potential value and magnetic field strength. The resulting Equa...

The phase structure of strongly interacting matter at high baryon density remains an open problem in QCD, with important implications for the internal structure and magnetic properties of neutron stars. We reexamine the emergence of a quark spin-polarized (QSP) phase in cold, dense quark matter within the two-flavor Na...

We extend the quark mean-field (QMF) model to finite temperature and systematically investigate the thermodynamic properties of uniform nuclear matter, using the relativistic mean-field (RMF) model as a reference. For each model, we consider two parameter sets calibrated to the same selected nuclear-matter saturation p...

The dynamics of heavy quarks in the quark-gluon plasma is commonly described within a standard Langevin equation framework. In this work, we extend the conventional framework by using a fractional Langevin equation based on the Caputo derivative of order $\alpha$ with $1<\alpha\leq 2$. We solve the fractional Langevin...

Gravity (g) modes are the only neutron-star oscillations that report on the composition of dense matter rather than on its stiffness, and work on hybrid stars has established that a first-order quark transition raises their frequency. Quarkyonic matter does the opposite. Quark-nucleon chemical equilibrium is maintained...
