OLTINKO‘Z ENTOMOFAGINI (NEUROPTERA: CHRYSOPIDAE) SISTEMATIKASI, MORFOLOGIYASI VA FAUNISTIK XUSUSIYATLARI
Abstract
This article analyzes the systematic position, morphological characteristics of developmental stages, and faunistic records of green lacewings (Chrysopidae) in Uzbekistan based on national and international literature. Regional data were extracted from the 2021–2023 records for the Tashkent and Syrdarya regions, as presented in A. A. Rustamov’s dissertation. The initial table lists 22 names, which were found to contain outdated combinations, potential spelling errors, and synonymic duplications. The name Chrysopa carnea was reconciled with Chrysoperla carnea; however, local specimens require re-examination within the framework of the cryptic species complex. The diagnostic significance of the morphology of imago wings, larval mouthparts, egg stalks, and cocoons is highlighted. It is established that distinguishing between confirmed species richness based on initial records, proper preservation of collection specimens, and the application of integrative identification significantly increases the reliability of faunistic conclusions.
