Abstract

Administrative processes at PT BAS Padang Lawas—which include document filing, employee data management, and the handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence—are still carried out manually using applications that are not yet integrated with one another. As a result, there are recording errors, delays, and difficulties for management in producing accurate reports. The objective of this study is to design and develop a web-based administrative management information system capable of integrating all these processes into a single platform. The Waterfall method was used to build the system, encompassing steps such as requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The system runs on the PHP programming language with a MySQL database, granting administrators and executives various access rights. The Black Box method was used to test the functionality of the login module, employee data, documents, incoming/outgoing correspondence, users, and reports. The results show that all features function as planned, enabling the system to support faster, more organized, and more accurate administrative data processing at PT BAS.
