Pengembangan Program Tahfidz Alqur’an di Madrasah Al-Barokah Desa Jaharun B
Abstract
Abstract The Tahfidz program at Madrasah Al-Barokah faced challenges related to Qur’anic recitation quality, particularly the accuracy of makharijul huruf and tajwid application, as well as limited structured mentoring. This community service program employed a Service Learning approach for 13 days, from 21 February to 5 March 2026. Attendance in madrasah learning sessions ranged from 18 to 35 children, while broader community activities involved up to 100 participants depending on the activity. The program included needs observation, halaqah grouping, tahfidz and tahsin mentoring through talaqqi, recitation submission and repetition, memorization evaluation, and student reflection. Observations during implementation indicated improvements in pronunciation accuracy and memorization fluency, accompanied by greater student engagement. University students also gained practical teaching and community-interaction experience through the reflective Service Learning process. The program demonstrates the value of structured mentoring, although complete individual achievement data and long-term memorization retention measurements were not available.
