Abstract

Based on 660MW plants as an example, it has been put forward that a coal-fired power unit with flue-gas molten salt storage technology be constructed. Based on the law of conservation of energy and mass, a peak-shaving plan for the whole system was developed. Specifically study the attributes and thermal economy of the heat accumulation and release cycle at 75% Turbine Heat Acceptance (THA). Based on the above data, during the energy storage stage, if flue gas is taken from the economiser inlet to heat molten salt at a 0.3 extraction ratio, the boiler efficiency will drop by about 0.26% - 0.28%. The increase in standard coal consumption per kilowatt-hour of power output is 9.07 g/kWh, and the thermal consumption of the steam turbine is as high as 266.36 kJ/kWh; therefore, the thermal storage efficiency is 42.18%. At 75% THA, the actual peak-shaving capacity was also 34.7 MW. A new way of using low-grade flue gas that can improve heat storage performance and regulatory capacity adaptability same has been proposed in this paper to promote low-carbon industrialisation.
