Abstract

Loko Ry Village, Tana Righu District, West Sumba Regency has the potential for local products such as stone crafts and other MSME products. However, promotion is still conventional and limited. This research aims to develop a mobile-based digital application for the promotion of local products using the R&D method and Waterfall model. The application was developed with Flutter (cross-platform Android & iOS) with digital catalog features, MSME profiles, ordering, location map integration, and WhatsApp integration. The test was carried out with Black-box Testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) using the System Usability Scale (SUS). UAT involved 32 respondents (15 stone MSME actors, 12 general consumers, 3 village admins, 2 KKN companion students). The results of the Black-box showed that 100% of the functions were running as expected. The results of SUS obtained an average score of 82.3 which is included in the Good category with details of score distribution attached. The results showed a significant increase: the number of potential consumers from an average of 15 people/month to 25 people/month, the number of orders from 12 orders/month to 20 orders/month, and the range of information from a radius of <15 km (only Loko Ry Village and its surroundings) to 3 sub-districts around West Sumba Regency plus 2 neighboring districts. This application is expected to be able to be a solution for digitizing village MSMEs, making it easier for consumers to find and order local products, and becoming an effective and efficient promotional medium to encourage digital economic growth at the rural level.
