PENGEMBANGAN DAN OPTIMALISASI PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN LITERASI DIGITAL SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR
Abstract
This study aims to develop and optimize information technology to enhance digital literacy among elementary students at SD Inpres Pantai Rua, West Sumba, a remote area with limited infrastructure. The IT form developed is interactive audio-visual learning media in the form of offline MP4 videos (8-10 minutes each, 6 videos) designed using Canva Pro. Digital literacy indicators were operationalized into four dimensions: searching and understanding digital information, using digital learning media, evaluating information relevance, and digital safety, privacy, and ethics. Using R&D with a detailed ADDIE model, subjects were 25 fifth-grade students (aged 10-12). The instrument comprised 20 multiple-choice items, validated (Aiken's V=0.87) and reliable (Alpha=0.82). Offline implementation via shared laptop-projector overcame internet limitations. Results showed improvement from 54.40 to 80.12 (gain 25.72), t(24)=-9.776, p<0.001, Cohen's d=1.95, N-Gain 0.56. Active teacher mentoring and parental guidance on digital ethics were key. Limitations include small single-school sample and no long-term retention evaluation.
