Assessment of Surface Water Quality in Dehradun District: A Study of Major Tourist Destinations.

Abstract

This review paper examines the present condition of surface water quality in Dehradun district with special emphasis on the effects of tourism and water pollution on the surrounding water environment. The study reviews previously published research related to water quality and analyzes data collected from different available sources. The observed water quality parameters were also compared with the standards and permissible limits provided by agencies such as the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
