THE TRANSPORT LOAD AND THE QUALITY OF VORONEZH’S URBAN ENVIRONMENT: FROM ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS TO SOLUTIONS IN LANDSCAPING
Abstract
The article substantiates the dependence of the quality of life of city residents and the condition of green spaces on the environmental situation in a large city. Using the central thoroughfare of Voronezh — Plekhanovskaya Street — as an example, an assessment of the transport load on the atmosphere was carried out. The calculated concentration of carbon monoxide reached 148.3 mg/m³, which exceeds the maximum permissible concentration by more than 30 times. Measures to reduce pollution are proposed: the development of public transport and an increase in the area of gas resistant green spaces.
