Discursos saboteadores dentro y fuera de Guinea Ecuatorial: una aproximación comparativa a las propuestas estéticas de César Mba Abogo y Trifonia Melibea Obono
Abstract
This article seeks to draw a comparative parallel between Trifonia Melibea Obono’s novel La bastarda (2016) and the collection of texts El porteador de Marlow / Canción negra sin color (2007) by César Mba Abogo, with the aim of identifying the subversive potential of each discourse through the subjectivities they reveal, the language employed, the literary genre and the influence of the authors’ experiences on the articulation of the political message they convey. Thus, although both authors are from Equatorial Guinea and pursue their literary careers within the epistemic frameworks of the contemporary era, a comparative analysis of their texts will reveal two strategies for representing the subjectivity of the Equatorial Guinean individual, and will enable an assessment of the emancipatory potential of both works. To this end, a methodological approach will be proposed, drawing on post-identity and postcolonial debates and the philological interpretative practices of Edward Said and Manuel Asensi, whilst placing particular emphasis on Patricia Picazo Sanz’s critical framework and his critique of subversive discourses.
