Gestión estratégica y sostenibilidad organizacional: integración de innovación, responsabilidad social y eficiencia de recursos para el desarrollo sostenible.
Abstract
Strategic management and organisational sustainability are interconnected through the incorporation of economic, social and environmental criteria into planning, resource allocation and decision-making. The analysis examines how academic scholarship addresses this relationship, with particular emphasis on innovation, social responsibility and resource-use efficiency as components associated with sustainable development. A qualitative, descriptive and documentary approach is adopted, structured according to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines to organise the search, selection and analysis of academic publications. The analysis identifies that innovation supports the transformation of processes and capabilities, while social responsibility strengthens relationships with stakeholders and efficiency contributes to the rational use of materials, energy, capital and information. Likewise, digital transformation and governance enhance monitoring, oversight and decision-making. The integration of these dimensions broadens the assessment of organisational performance beyond financial indicators and promotes responsible value creation. It is concluded that sustainability achieves greater scope when embedded within strategic direction and integrated with planning, evaluation and control mechanisms, thereby supporting organisational continuity and a balanced management of economic, social and environmental dimensions.
