Abstract

Hasibuan Collection is a retail business operating five branches in Padang Sidempuan, Panyabungan, and Sibuhuan. Inventory and sales were previously managed manually, causing recording delays, inconsistent stock data across branches, and difficulties in preparing accurate and timely reports. This study aims to design and implement a web-based information system integrating the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine economical order quantities and centralize stock and sales management. The study applies an applied-research approach and the Waterfall model of the System Development Life Cycle. Primary data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and operational records from March 2025 to March 2026. The system was implemented with Node.js and Express.js on the backend, Vue.js on the frontend, and MongoDB as the database. EOQ calculations produced optimal order quantities of 9,943, 3,018, 4,292, 5,979, and 11,571 units for the five branches, respectively. Annual holding and ordering costs were nearly balanced at the optimum point. Black-box testing of 14 scenarios showed that all tested functions operated successfully. The integrated system therefore supports centralized, data-driven inventory control and improves operational efficiency and decision accuracy.
