Abstract

The sales process at Zahra Rizki Cake, a micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME), is still conducted manually through direct orders and messaging applications. The lack of integration in order recording, transaction management, and sales report preparation may lead to recording errors, difficulties in retrieving data, and delays in report preparation. This study aims to design, develop, and test a web-based cake sales information system to support the management of product data, customer information, orders, transactions, and sales reports at Zahra Rizki Cake. The data collection methods include observation, interviews, and a literature review. System development adopts the Waterfall model, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) are used to illustrate data flows, while an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) is used to model relationships between entities in the database. The analysis techniques involve examining existing business processes, identifying user requirements, and evaluating system functionality against the defined requirements. The result of this study is a web-based cake sales information system that integrates product management, customer data, order processing, transaction recording, and sales reporting into a single platform. The system is expected to simplify information management, improve transaction recording practices, and facilitate more efficient sales report preparation. Therefore, the developed system can serve as a digital solution to support operational processes and sales management at Zahra Rizki Cake.
