We study the forward $\chi_{cJ}$ production in the low $p_{\perp}$ region in proton-proton $(pp)$ and proton-nucleus $(pA)$ collisions at the LHC within the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization and the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) effective field theory. Incorporating the small-$x$ gluonic evolution via the running-coupling Balitsky-Kovchegov equation with various initial conditions, we systematically analyze the cross section ratio $R_{\chi_{c}}=\sigma_{\chi_{c2}}/\sigma_{\chi_{c1}}$, and find that the theoretical predictions weakly depend on these inputs. Our predictions align well with the LHCb measurements for $p\mathrm{Pb}$ collisions, however, overshoot those for $pp$ collisions. We further investigate the feed down fractions $F_{\chi_{c1,2}\to J/\psi}=\sigma_{\chi_{c1,2}\to J/\psi}/\sigma_{J/\psi}$. We notice that with the experimental measurement of prompt $J/\psi$ cross section as inputs in the denominator the CGC+NRQCD predictions broadly match the data when choosing the standard McLerran-Venugopalan initial conditions. In contrast, implementing purely theoretical CGC+NRQCD predictions for both $J/\psi$ and $\chi_{c}$ production yield systematic discrepancies across all tested parameters. This highlights a persistent challenge in achieving a simultaneous, unified description of $\chi_{c}$ and prompt $J/\psi$ production within the current framework.
We study the process $e^+e^- \to \gamma^\ast \to \eta_c + c\bar{c} + X$ at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, retaining the color-singlet contribution at leading order in the heavy-quark relative velocity $v$. At the $e^+e^-$ collision energy $\sqrt{s}...
We study $e^{+}e^{-} \to J/\psi+\eta_c+X$ at next-to-leading order (NLO) in $\alpha_s$ within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework to assess the color-octet (CO) mechanism at low energies. QCD corrections significantly enhance both color-singlet (CS) and CO leading-order results, with non-negligible QED-diagram co...
Event-by-event mean-$p_T$ fluctuations probe initial-state fluctuations and their evolution through the dynamics of heavy-ion collisions. We study second-order mean-$p_T$ fluctuations in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=3.0$--$19.6$ GeV using JAM2 in the RQMDv mean-field mode with the MH2 parameterization. The mo...

The Cooling Storage Ring External-target Experiment (CEE) at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL) offers a unique opportunity to map the QCD phase diagram in the high-baryon-density region. In particular, higher-order cumulants ($C_r$) of event-by-event proton number distributions have been proposed as se...
Motivated by the recent CMS data on a family of $2^{++}$ states from $J/\psi J/\psi$ mass spectrum, we determine the masses of the $2^{++}$ $J/\psi J/\psi$ molecule and $cc\bar c\bar c$ states, by using (for the first time) the two lowest QCD Laplace Sum Rules (LSR) moment-ratios within the standard optimization criter...

A macroscopic method of the parton and hadron cascade model PACIAE combined with the coalescence model DCPC is employed to study the $\phi$-mesic nuclei in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV for the first time in this work. Based on the final hadronic states of $pp$ collisions simulated by the PACIAE model, the $\ph...
