The Impact of Online Learning on Students’ Academic Performance and Engagement in Computer Courses
Abstract
The vest development of digital technologies has transformed the way education is delivered, making online instruction an increasingly important approach to teaching and learning. This study examines the impact of online computer instruction on students’ academic performance and learning engagement. It focuses on how the use of online platforms, digital learning materials, interactive activities, and teacher–student communication influences students’ understanding of computer-related concepts and their participation in the learning process. The study adopts a quantitative approach to assess students’ academic performance and level of engagement following online computer instruction. Data may be collected through achievement tests, questionnaires, and student participation records. The study is expected to provide insights into the effectiveness of online computer instruction and identify factors that may contribute to successful online learning, such as accessibility, interaction, motivation, instructional design, and technical support. The findings are expected to demonstrate whether online computer instruction can improve students’ academic outcomes while encouraging active participation and engagement. The study may also provide useful recommendations for educators and institutions seeking to improve the quality of online computer education and develop effective teaching strategies for digital learning environments.
