Simulation of IoT-Based Chicken Coop Monitoring and Control with an Early Warning System for Extreme Temperatures

Oct 2026 · Jurnal Multidisiplin Dehasen (MUDE) · 0 citations

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has encouraged the implementation of automated monitoring and control systems in various fields, including poultry farming. Manual management of temperature and humidity in poultry houses may lead to delayed responses, which can negatively affect the health and productivity of chickens. Therefore, this study aims to design and simulate an IoT-based poultry house monitoring and control system with an early warning system. The simulation is conducted using Wokwi by utilizing an ESP32 microcontroller, a DHT22 sensor to measure temperature and humidity, a relay as the control device, a buzzer as the warning alarm, and a fan and heater as actuators. The proposed system is designed to monitor environmental conditions in real time, automatically control the actuators, and provide early warnings whenever the environmental conditions exceed the predefined thresholds. This study is expected to produce a simulation model that can serve as a foundation for the development of a more effective and efficient smart poultry house system.
