Abstract

A detailed collider study of Higgs production in the process $e^+e^- \to ZH$ is presented within the framework of the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM), with particular emphasis on mis-aligned scenarios in the Type-I realization. The analysis is performed at a future $e^+e^-$ collider with $\sqrt{s}=500$~GeV and an integrated luminosity of $10~\mathrm{ab}^{-1}$, considering heavy Higgs masses in the range $160 \leq m_H \leq 400$~GeV. The analysis covers heavy CP-even Higgs states with non-fermionic decay modes such as $H\to WW$ and $H\to hh$, and incorporates final states arising from leptonic and invisible $Z$ boson decays. Fast parametrized detector-level simulations are employed to evaluate selection efficiencies, signal--background discrimination, and exclusion sensitivities. It is shown that values of $|c_{\beta-\alpha}|>0.1$ can be excluded at the $95\%$ confidence level over almost the entire range $1\leq\tan\beta\leq10$ in the $H\to WW$ scenario, while the $H\to hh$ channel provides lower sensitivity.

Probing Charged Higgs Bosons through $H^\pm \to W^\pm A$ Decay in the Type-I Two-Higgs Doublet Model

A light pseudoscalar lighter than the 125 GeV Higgs boson remains allowed within the type-I Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), consistent with current collider constraints, including Higgs signal strength measurements and direct searches for additional Higgs bosons. At the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the light pseudoscal...

Resonant Di-Higgs Searches in $b\bar{b}\tau^+\tau^-$ at HL-LHC: Supersymmetry versus Compositeness Benchmarks

We explore the scope of the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) in testing Standard Model (SM) di-Higgs production and decay into $2b2\tau$ final states in the context of two viable theories of the Electro-Weak (EW) scale: Supersymmetry and Compositeness. Specifically, we target minimal model realisations of...

Search for Higgs boson compositeness effects in high-mass dilepton final states in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 and 13.6 TeV

A search for beyond the standard model effects in high-mass dielectron and dimuon final states with the CMS detector is performed, with a specific focus on Higgs boson compositeness. The search uses data collected at the LHC at 13 and 13.6 TeV center-of-mass energies, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 2...

Multi-Higgs production from a theory of varying Higgs quartic and top Yukawa couplings

We study the collider phenomenology of a theory in which the Higgs quartic self-coupling and the top Yukawa coupling are \textit{varying couplings}, which arise dynamically from two scalar fields, $\phi_1$ and $\phi_2$. Depending on the scalar masses relative to twice the top-quark mass, the heavy scalars decay mainly...

Search for boosted vector boson scattering $W^{\pm}W^{\pm}H$ production in final states with same-sign leptons and $b$-jets in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

A search for the electroweak production of a Higgs boson in association with a same-sign $W$ boson pair and two forward jets ($W^{\pm}W^{\pm}Hjj$) is presented. The full Run 2 proton-proton collision dataset recorded at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is u...

Higgs pseudo-observables in $e^+e^-\to h\gamma$

We analyse the process $e^+e^-\to h\gamma$ in the Standard Model (SM) and in generic extensions with heavy new physics, using the framework of Higgs pseudo-observables. We decompose the one-loop amplitude into separately gauge-invariant photon-pole, $Z$-pole, and non-pole contributions. For heavy new physics, we show t...
