Analysis of performance indicators for an outpatient care health facility (or subdivision): guidelines. Part 1. General performance indicators
Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for calculating and interpreting general performance indicators of outpatient care centers (or its subdivision). It covers planned capacity and its utilization, trends in the number of physician visits, the structure of visits by purpose, the average number of visits per capita per year, and the share of visits to district general practitioners and family physicians. Methods for calculating the physician workload function and the coverage of specific population groups by preventive examinations and health screenings are provided. The information base relies on data from the Federal Statistical Observation Form № 30 and population statistics. For each indicator, calculation formulas and sources of raw data are specified. Explanations for their interpretation are provided, taking into account the characteristics of the served population and the management of care. The material is intended for analyzing the volume and preventive focus of outpatient center activities, assessing the utilization of its capacity, and providing information support for management decisions.
