Fiction, Escrevivência, and Research in Psychoanalysis: Aesthetic-Poetic-Political Thinking-Feeling
Abstract
Abstract This essay aims to put Escrevivência into dialogue as a methodological, as well as aesthetic-poetic-political strategy for research in psychoanalysis, through the subverting of the notions of reality and fiction, proposing twists and the creation of conceptual hypothesis formations that contribute clinical training. Drawing from previous research experience in social psychology, we seek to transform our perceptions of research in psychoanalysis by navigating a notion of science that starts from a non-linear rationality, grounded in the complementarity between reason and emotion, reality and fiction, poetry and empiricism. We aim to challenge and twist the hegemonic notions of research methodology, in conversation with the literature of Conceição Evaristo, through the aesthetic-poetic-political experience of an embodied, vivid, and implicated writing within psychoanalytic inquiry.
