Sep 2026 · Ecologica Montenegrina · 0 citations · 5 references

Abstract

The paper reports a complete list of 17 species of many-plumed moths (Alucitidae) from China. A new species, Pterotopteryx shanguanica sp. nov., is described. One species, Pterotopteryx eumorphodactyla (Caradja, 1920), is recorded from China for the first time. Images of the imago and female genitalia of the lectotype of Orneodes longipalpella (Caradja, 1939) are provided for the first time. Orneodes gardeniflora (Dai, 1990) is transferred to the genus Alucita, as Alucita gardeniflora (Dai, 1990) comb. nov. New distribution data are presented. The literature on Chinese Alucitidae is summarized and analyzed, and a historical overview of the key stages of research on this lepidopteran family is provided.
