CD84 Expression Across Disease Stages and Leukemic Subpopulations in Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Abstract
Simple Summary Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains a challenging disease, and new therapeutic targets are needed to improve patient outcomes. CD84 has recently emerged as a promising target for immunotherapeutic approaches, including CAR T-cell therapy. In this study, we evaluated CD84 expression in samples from adult patients with AML at diagnosis, relapse, and refractory disease. We found that CD84 was consistently expressed across different disease stages, AML subtypes, and leukemic subpopulations. We also compared CD84 with established AML targets and characterized its expression in normal bone marrow populations. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of CD84 expression in AML and further support the continued investigation of CD84-directed immunotherapies.
