Assessment of the toxicity of soils subject to pyrogenic effects using the phytoindication method
Abstract
The article presents the results of studies of the phytotoxicity of the soil cover of lands in the territories of the forest fund of the Ryazan region exposed to pyrogenic effects (Spassky, Klepikovsky and Ryazan districts). With the help of monitoring of lands by the phytoindication method (biotesting by the length of the test object), a high and medium level of phytotoxicity was established on the lands of the forest fund of the Ryazan region under pyrogenic effects. Phytoindication has been proven to be a universal, affordable, and financially cost–effective research method for all categories of land, from forest ecosystems to urbanized and industrial areas. To increase the effectiveness of the land monitoring method, it is proposed to create an automated software module in Python for the purpose of operational calculation of phytotoxicity. Expansion of the data processing package, which will allow analyzing the state of soils over several years of research and identify the trend towards soil restoration, subject to degradation, integration with GIS, development of a web interface and desktop application. It is proposed to detail the levels of phytotoxicity for the objective zoning of the studied territories, defining the zones with the strongest phytotoxicity.
