Core parameter optimization of magnetic field energy harvesting device for three-core power cables in distribution network based on PSOGA hybrid algorithm
Abstract
To address the low efficiency of trial-and-error methods for single-objective optimization, this study proposes a method for optimizing the core parameters of a magnetic field energy harvesting device for three-core power cables in distribution networks, based on the PSOGA hybrid algorithm. An optimization model was constructed with the objectives of maximizing output power and minimizing core losses. The PSOGA algorithm was used to find the Pareto-optimal solution set, and the optimal parameters were selected through fuzzy decision-making. Experimental results show that, under cable currents ranging from 25 to 125 A, the peak induced voltage of the optimized prototype increased by an average of 28.4%, demonstrating enhanced resistance to saturation at high currents; under input powers ranging from 50 to 250 W, core losses were reduced by 15.1% to 22.8%. At 100 A, the average efficiency increased by 4.6 percentage points across the 20–100 Ω load range. This validates the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method.
