Sep 2026 · DIT ADS International Multidisciplinary Research Journal · 0 citations

Abstract

This research examines the impact of digital transformation on administrative processes, with particular emphasis on operational efficiency and decision-making quality in organizations within the Sultanate of Oman. The study adopted a quantitative research design and utilized a structured questionnaire as the main data collection tool. A total of 110 respondents were selected using a non-probability sampling technique, based on their involvement and familiarity with digital tools in administrative work. The findings highlight that digital transformation significantly enhances administrative processes by improving workflow efficiency, reducing operational delays, and supporting effective, timely decision-making. The results further indicate that advanced digital technologies contribute to cost reductions, improved resource utilization, and greater transparency in administrative procedures. However, the study also identified several challenges, including limited digital skills among employees, resistance to change, and difficulties in adapting to workload fluctuations. Based on the findings, the study recommends continuous investment in employee digital training, improved accessibility to administrative information, enhanced operational flexibility, and sustained adoption of emerging technologies to maximize the benefits of digital transformation in administrative processes.
