Abstract

Introduction: the article discusses the problem of transforming the image of a "real man" in adolescents in the context of digital socialization. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that modern adolescents form ideas about male identity not only under the influence of family, school and peer groups, but also in the space of social networks, video platforms, blogging culture, streaming and algorithmic recommendations. The digital environment is becoming a significant factor in socialization, as it offers teenagers a large number of competing models of male self-realization related to publicity, financial independence, independence, technological competence and external success. The purpose of the article is to identify the peculiarities of modern teenagers' ideas about the image of a "real man" in the context of digital socialization. Materials and methods: the work highlights significant sources of influence on the formation of the male image in adolescents. In addition, models of male self-realization that are attractive to teenagers are noted, as well as their view of the qualities of a "mature modern man." Research results: the study proved that modern teenagers are more influenced by the digital image of a real man in the person of bloggers, streamers, entrepreneurs, IT specialists and creators of media content. At the same time, it was noted that the digital male model does not contradict the traditional male image in any way. Despite the increased interest of teenagers in independence, financial success and public recognition, teenagers continue to associate the image of a "real man" with qualities such as responsibility, reliability, the ability to keep his word, caring for loved ones and willingness to take responsibility for the consequences of their own decisions. Discussion and conclusion: it is concluded that there is a hybrid nature of modern adolescent perceptions of the image of a real man. Digital socialization is changing teenagers' perception of the male image while preserving traditional male values. The practical significance of the results of the article lies in the need to develop a system of male mentoring, conducting competent educational work and psychological and pedagogical support for adolescents under the active influence of the digital environment on them.
