Abstract

AI is changing accounting by increasing the speed, accuracy, and analytical capacity of financial operations. This study examines how machine learning, data analytics, robotic process automation, auditing, reporting, forecasting, and professional decision making are used in financial analysis. The study assesses the institutional notification of AI use in accounting as well as its operational advantages. According to the study, artificial intelligence can enhance audit processes, uncover anomalous financial patterns, expedite repetitive activities, assist real-time reporting, and increase the accuracy of financial projections. However, its application also raises issues with algorithmic bias, data quality, information security and accountability for automated decisions. The paper evaluates that while AI can help with accounting procedures, it should not replace the professional skepticism and critical thinking of accounting practitioners. Effective implementation requires strong data governance, explainable algorithms, ongoing human monitoring, ethical standards, and clarity regarding roles. The study also explains the increasing demand for accounting people to acquire knowledge of data analytics, artificial intelligence and ethical technology management. The paper proposes an integrated approach which connects artificial intelligence with accounting applications and governance mechanism. The study concludes that responsible use of AI can improve financial authenticity and accuracy.
