Abstract

school and university designing and implementing a new Entrepreneurship Education Program. Drawing on the data obtained from a second-year course, this exploratory study provides an overview and assessment of a single-case – an introductory country-specific discipline in entrepreneurship aimed at generating a holistic understanding of the field among students. The paper analyses the nature, essence, and role of this course in the Curriculum for undergraduate students in business and management, offers the analysis of its content and applied teaching techniques, explores students’ expectations before the course and their perceptions after it (prior to the exam completion and announcing final results). Considered all round, it illustrates the authors’ approach to course development. The findings, which we intend to share in the publication, might be used to upgrade the courses on business management and entrepreneurship education development. The paper concludes with the recommendation to introduce new courses on entrepreneurship (conceptually similar to the discipline examined in this paper), taking into consideration national specifics in a particular country that will prepare students for mastering further business courses covering multiple aspects of management and entrepreneurship. The paper provides implications, limitations, suggestions for further research, and final reflections. Keywords: higher education, business education, entrepreneurship education, business management, entrepreneurship course
