Beyond orthodoxy (structures take to the streets). Forum on Maria Chehonadskih, Alexander Bogdanov and the politics of knowledge after the October Revolution
Abstract
In this book forum, four scholars of Soviet philosophy reflect on Maria Chehonadskih’s Alexander Bogdanov and the Politics of Knowledge after the October Revolution, a groundbreaking work that systematically investigates the intellectual milieu around Andrei Platonov, Alexander Bogdanov, and the Proletkult movement. This milieu is seen not through the perspective of Lenin’s notorious polemic in Materialism and Empirio-criticism but in the terms of these highly original interpreters of Marxism themselves. Inthe conclusion of the forum, Chehonadskih replies to the comments of her colleagues.
