A Structured Taxonomy of Supply Chain Resilience Indicators: A Foundation for Standardized Resilience Assessment
Abstract
This study proposes a structured taxonomy of supply chain resilience indicators to support future standardization efforts in resilience assessment. An umbrella review covering the period 2010–2025 was conducted using major scientific databases. The identified indicators were systematically analyzed, consolidated, and classified according to their relevance, applicability, and generalizability. The proposed taxonomy organizes resilience indicators into three disruption phases: pre-disruption preparedness, during-disruption absorption and operational continuity, and post-disruption recovery and improvement. The results provide a coherent classification of key indicators related to visibility, flexibility, redundancy, collaboration, recovery capability, and organizational preparedness. Although the proposed taxonomy does not constitute a validated quantitative assessment model, it provides a foundation for future resilience measurement frameworks. It also contributes to the improvement of the consistency and comparability of resilience indicators.
