Abstract
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has transformed the way organizations operate,
innovate, and create value in an increasingly competitive business environment. AI adoption enables firms to automate
processes, enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and deliver personalized customer experiences. However,
the extent to which AI contributes to sustainable business performance depends not only on technological implementation but
also on an organization's ability to innovate. This study examines the relationship between Artificial Intelligence adoption and
sustainable business performance, with innovation capability serving as a mediating variable. Specifically, it investigates how AI
adoption enhances organizational innovation capability and, in turn, improves economic, environmental, and social dimensions
of business performance. The study adopts a quantitative research approach using structured questionnaires administered to
managers and professionals from manufacturing and service organizations. Data will be analyzed using Structural Equation
Modeling (SEM) to examine the direct and indirect relationships among the study variables. The proposed conceptual
framework posits that AI adoption positively influences innovation capability, which subsequently enhances sustainable business
performance. The findings are expected to provide empirical evidence on the strategic role of AI in fostering innovation and
achieving long-term organizational sustainability. Furthermore, the study offers practical implications for business leaders,
policymakers, and practitioners by highlighting the importance of integrating AI technologies with innovation-driven strategies
to improve competitiveness and sustainable growth. By linking digital transformation with sustainability outcomes, this research
contributes to the growing body of knowledge on AI-enabled business innovation and supports the achievement of the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry,
Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being adopted as a strategic capability within the Indonesian telecommunications industry to support digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve long-term sustainability performance amid intensifying competition. However, successful AI adoption is determined not only by technological readiness but also by organizational conditions, environmental pressures, and psychological assurances related to trust and data privacy. This study aims to examine the effects of the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework, Trust in AI, and privacy assurance on organizational Intention to Adopt AI, as well as their subsequent influence on actual AI use behavior and corporate sustainability performance within the Indonesian telecommunications sector. A quantitative research approach was employed using survey data collected from 231 managerial and technical professionals across telecommunications firms. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that technological, organizational, and environmental readiness, together with trust and privacy assurance, have significant positive effects on Intention to Adopt AI. Furthermore, Intention to Adopt AI is found to be a strong predictor of actual AI use behavior, indicating that adoption intention translates into practical implementation rather than merely reflecting favorable attitudes. Consistent and integrated AI utilization subsequently contributes significantly to corporate sustainability performance, encompassing economic, operational, and environmental dimensions. These results suggest that the sustainability benefits of AI emerge when contextual readiness and psychological assurance jointly enable organizations to move beyond adoption intention toward sustained AI utilization. This study provides valuable insights for industry practitioners and policymakers in designing AI adoption strategies that support sustainable business performance in emerging telecommunications markets.
The findings suggest that while AI serves as a strategic capability that enhances organizational responsiveness and innovation, its effectiveness depends on the presence of supportive organizational structures, leadership, and an adaptive culture.

The research question is to understand how the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) affects the supply chain performance, with the focus on the mediating effects of marketing innovation and organisational agility, and the moderating effects of technological readiness. It aims to determine the benefits of AI-led digital transformation for the efficiency, flexibility, and competitiveness of operations in the Indian context. A quantitative and explanatory research design was used. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data from 368 professionals who were employed in the manufacturing, logistics, and retail industries in India. Validated multi-item scales were used to measure constructs, and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to analyse the constructs. The soundness of the proposed model was confirmed using reliability, validity, and model fit indices. The research shows that AI implementation has the potential to positively impact supply chain performance, directly and indirectly, through marketing innovation and organisational agility. Technological preparation reinforces the connection between marketing innovation and performance, and, according to this, companies with strong digital infrastructure and capabilities have greater advantages in AI-driven strategies. The managers must focus on building marketing innovativeness and responsiveness, coupled with sound technological preparedness. By aligning AI efforts with strategic and operational goals, one can respond faster, improve customer satisfaction, and become more competitive. The present paper is interdisciplinary and combines marketing, innovation, and supply-chain perspectives to propose and empirically support a comprehensive model explaining how the adoption of AI can lead to performance. It adds to the literature on AI-based digital transformation in the emerging economies.

The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the retail industry enhances business efficiency and improves customer service. However, the existing literature lacks a comprehensive framework that captures how AI tools are driving digital transformation, digital business model innovation (DBMI) and organizational performance. Therefore, this study examines the role of AI tools in digital transformation and DBMI in shaping retail performance.
This research is quantitative, and a self-administered questionnaire was utilized to collect data from 350 retail managers in China. Partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for data analysis.
The study's findings indicate that AI tools significantly influence the exploitative digital transformation and exploratory digital transformation. The findings also confirm the positive influence of exploitative and exploratory digital transformation on DBMI that lead to market agility, organizational agility and organizational performance. The findings also show the moderating effect of innovation capability on relationship between exploratory digital transformation and DBMI.
This study examines the role of AI-driven digital transformation in DBMI, which is crucial for market and operational agility and organizational performance. Furthermore, this study offers fresh insight by incorporating innovation capabilities as a moderator, revealing that higher innovation capabilities strengthen the connection between digital transformation and DBMI.

The current research examined how Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities positively influence the performance and development of sustainable service innovation (SSI) within banks of Saudi Arabia. Research explored both the internal and external knowledge sources to identify potential mediators between AI capacity and developing SSI. This research utilized quantitative approach and data collection was preferred by employees of banks. Structural equation modeling was utilized to identify key findings that indicated positive impacts of AI capacity on SSI development directly and indirectly with the use of internal knowledge, however, did not validate external knowledge as a mediator. SSI development was determined to have a positive impact on financial performance for financial institutions resulting in an opportunity to demonstrate ethical and customer focused business value for innovative development. Theoretical contributions related to the resource-based view (RBV) and open innovation models were achieved through illustrations of the relationships between AI capacity, knowledge processes, and practices with the organization. Practically this study provided insight in relation to how to implement AI technology as a structured process in the development of sustainable and competitive high performance financial services.
