Abstract
This research investigates the dynamic behavior of one-dimensional systems using two computational criteria: the numerical transitivity and the numerical Locally Eventually Onto (LEO) tests. Both algorithms are systematically applied to a variety of interval maps, including classical examples such as [Formula: see text]-transformations and expanding Lorenz maps, in order to assess and characterize their chaotic dynamics. We perform a detailed comparison of the two methods in terms of accuracy, computational efficiency, and their sensitivity in detecting transitions between regular and chaotic regimes. Particular emphasis is placed on the Courbage–Nekorkin–Vdovin (CNV) model of a single neuron, known for its rich, spiking-like dynamics and its mathematical reducibility to Lorenz-type maps. By analyzing both the piecewise linear and nonlinear versions of the CNV model, we illustrate how the proposed numerical tests reliably capture qualitative changes in the system’s dynamics, focusing on the onset of chaos and chaotic regimes. The results highlight the practical potential of these numerical approaches as diagnostic tools for studying complex dynamical systems arising in nonlinear science and mathematical neuroscience.
This paper investigates dynamical properties of the Nonlinear Walecka Model (NLWM), also known as Quantum Hadrodynamics (QHD), which provides a relativistic framework for describing nuclear matter through nucleon-meson interactions. While the original linear model successfully captures qualitative features of nuclear m...

Abstract The time-fractional Boussinesq equation helps in the modeling of various physical phenomena, such as shallow water waves and coastal engineering, to model tsunamis. This paper investigates the time-fractional Boussinesq equation, after introducing memory effect through the time fractional parameter β ∈ (0, 1]....
In this study, an analytical and dynamical study of the classical Kolmogorov–Petrovsky– Piskunov (KPP) equation is carried out by means of the improved generalized Riccati equation mapping (IGREM) method. An appropriate traveling-wave transformation is used to reduce the governing equation and several families of exact...

In this paper, a novel four-dimensional variable-order fractional chaotic system is presented through the use of the Liouville–Caputo variable-order fractional derivative to represent the time-varying memory properties of nonlinear dynamical behaviors. Special attention will be paid to the chaotic behavior of the propo...

The time-fractional Symmetric Regularized-Long-Wave equation that emerges in simulations of long-term water flow models is efficiently solved in this paper using a new auxiliary equation method. The model takes into consideration the conformable fractional derivatives. Bell-shaped, anti-bell-shaped, kink, and anti-kink...
