Abstract

We compiled a sample of 47 single-lined spectroscopic binaries (SB1s) with available relative astrometric measurements. By combining radial velocities, relative astrometry, and absolute astrometry when available and reliable, we determine the component masses and orbital solutions of these SB1s. The orbital periods span a broad range from 0.67 to 186 yr. Among these systems, 15 are solved independently for the first time using combined orbital solutions. The derived component masses range from 13 M⊙ down to 0.06 M⊙, of which 24 individual components have masses smaller than 0.7 M⊙. For systems with a known magnitude difference or individual magnitudes, we estimate the absolute magnitudes of the components in the V and K bands. With a few exceptions, the derived main-sequence component masses are consistent with the empirical mass–luminosity relation in the V and K bands.
