We study recursive-design wild bootstrap inference for dynamic panel data models with unobserved common factors estimated by Common Correlated Effects. In the large N,T setting, the bootstrap reproduces the biased limiting distribution in pure autoregressive models, but fails to capture all bias and factor-estimation variance components in models with additional regressors, particularly under weak exogeneity. We trace this failure to holding regressors fixed across bootstrap replications. We propose to combine bootstrap procedure with available bias-correction methods to conduct adjusted inference. Monte Carlo evidence shows substantial improvements over conventional strategies of using bias-correction paired with cross-sectional bootstrap methods.
Panel local projections are widely used to estimate impulse responses in policy analysis. This paper examines the properties of the fixed-effect estimator and various bias-correction methods in panel local projections, focusing on settings with autoregressive control variables. We analyze the bias and variance of these...
This article studies panel data models with two-dimensional unobserved slope heterogeneity and interactive fixed effects. We propose a two-step approach to estimate the parameters in the model. We apply the proposed model to estimate heterogeneous treatment effects at both individual and aggregate levels. Monte Carlo s...

We propose a nonparametric test for unobserved treatment effect heterogeneity in regression discontinuity designs. Under the null of no unobserved heterogeneity, a transformed outcome that imputes treated potential outcomes for untreated units must have a continuous conditional distribution at the cutoff. We convert th...
This article provides a specification test for semiparametric models with nonparametrically generated regressors. Such regressors are not observed by the researcher but are nonparametrically identified and estimable. Applications of the test include models with endogenous regressors identified by control functions, sem...
Regression adjustment is widely used to improve the precision of average treatment effect estimates from randomized controlled trials. Interacted regression weakly dominates simple regression in terms of its first-order behavior but, in 50-50 randomized trials, the asymptotic variance of both methods is the same and so...
This paper develops a smoothed generalized method of moments (GMM) framework for panel quantile models with individual-specific fixed-effects and endogenous regressors. By smoothing the indicator in the quantile moment conditions and profiling out the individual effects through smoothed individual quantile restrictions...
