Digital Transformation Leadership in Elementary School Management: Evidence from a Digital School Transformation Program

This study aims to examine the role of digital transformation leadership in strengthening elementary school management and improving educational quality. The research employed a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review combined with a case study to explore leadership practices, challenges, and strategies for implementing digital transformation in primary education. The findings reveal that effective digital transformation leadership depends on the integration of a clear strategic vision, digital competencies, and an adaptive organizational culture. School leaders play a pivotal role in promoting technology adoption, enhancing teachers’ digital capacity, fostering collaboration, and establishing a sustainable digital learning ecosystem. Furthermore, continuous professional development and stakeholder engagement are essential for ensuring the successful implementation of digital initiatives. The study implies that educational institutions should develop a contextual digital leadership model that prioritizes human resource development as the foundation for sustainable digital transformation and improved educational management. Such a model can support schools in responding effectively to technological change while enhancing organizational performance and learning quality.

Future-Ready Educational Administrator Competencies: A Strategic Framework for Collaboration, Insight, and Innovation in the 21st Century

The rapidly evolving educational landscape of the twenty-first century, driven by digital transformation, globalisation, artificial intelligence, and changing societal expectations, has redefined the leadership responsibilities of educational administrators. This article examined the concept of future-ready educational administrator competencies and presents a strategic framework for integrating collaboration, insight, and innovation into educational leadership. Drawing on contemporary theories, including Systems Theory, Transformational Leadership Theory, Distributed Leadership Theory, Strategic Leadership Theory, and Change Management Theory, the article explored the competencies required for effective institutional leadership in dynamic educational environments. It conceptualised the future-ready educational administrator as a visionary, technologically competent, ethical, and adaptive leader capable of fostering organisational learning, evidence-based decision-making, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable institutional development. The article further discussed the strategic integration of competencies such as digital leadership, data-informed decision-making, innovation, collaboration, and strategic foresight, highlighting their significance for improving institutional effectiveness and educational quality. Particular attention is given to the relevance of these competencies within the Nigerian educational system, where educational reforms, digitalisation, and resource constraints necessitated resilient and innovative leadership. The article concluded that future-ready competencies are indispensable for educational administrators seeking to lead transformative change, strengthen institutional resilience, and enhance organisational performance in an increasingly interconnected and knowledge-driven world. It recommended competency-based leadership development, continuous professional learning, digital capacity building, collaborative governance, and evidence-based policy implementation as critical strategies for preparing educational administrators to meet the demands of twenty-first-century education.

Digital Transformation and Innovation in Political Education in Vietnamese Universities: Challenges and Policy Implications

The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the rapid development of digital technologies have fundamentally transformed higher education systems worldwide. In Vietnam, digital transformation has become a strategic priority in educational reform, aiming to improve teaching quality, learning experiences, and institutional governance. Political education, which plays a critical role in cultivating political awareness, civic responsibility, and ideological orientation among university students, is also experiencing significant changes under the influence of digital technologies. However, the implementation of digital transformation in political education remains uneven due to limitations in digital infrastructure, pedagogical innovation, digital competencies of lecturers, and the availability of digital learning resources. This paper examines the current state of digital transformation and innovation in political education in Vietnamese universities. Using a qualitative approach based on document analysis and a systematic review of national policies and recent studies, the study identifies key opportunities and challenges associated with digital transformation in political education. The findings indicate that digital technologies contribute significantly to enhancing student engagement, facilitating interactive learning environments, diversifying teaching methods, and promoting personalized learning experiences. Nevertheless, several barriers continue to hinder effective implementation, including inadequate technological infrastructure, insufficient digital pedagogical competencies among lecturers, cybersecurity concerns, and the lack of high-quality digital content specifically designed for political education. The study proposes policy implications focusing on strengthening digital infrastructure, improving lecturers’ digital competencies, developing digital learning resources, promoting blended learning models, and establishing comprehensive policies to support sustainabl

The Influence of Principal Digital Leadership on Teacher Performance through Innovative School Climate toward Sustainable Education

Educational institutions worldwide are undergoing rapid transformation driven by technological advancement, globalization, the integration of artificial intelligence, and rising societal expectations regarding educational quality. Within this context, school principals are increasingly required to enact digital leadership that strengthens teacher performance and supports the long-term development of education. This study examines how principal digital leadership influences teacher performance through the mediating role of innovative school climate, with sustainable education as the overarching orientation. Adopting an explanatory conceptual approach grounded in contemporary educational-leadership theory and a structured review of quantitative empirical studies published between 2020 and 2026, the article develops an integrated analytical model and a set of testable hypotheses. The synthesis indicates that principal digital leadership contributes substantially to teacher effectiveness by promoting technological adaptation, collaborative professional learning, instructional innovation, and organizational flexibility. Innovative school climate functions as a strategic mediating variable that channels and amplifies the effect of leadership practices on teacher performance. Schools characterized by collaboration, openness to innovation, digital communication, and continuous learning appear more capable of achieving sustainable educational transformation. The findings further suggest that sustainable education cannot be secured through investment in technological infrastructure alone, but rather through visionary leadership that integrates innovation, inclusivity, institutional resilience, and long-term adaptability. Theoretically, the study integrates digital-leadership theory, organizational-climate theory, and sustainable-education perspectives into a coherent framework; practically, it offers strategic recommendations for policymakers, educational administrators, and school leaders seeking to improve teacher performance and strengthen sustainable educational ecosystems in the digital era.

Impact of Digital Transformation and Change Management Practices on Higher Education Institutions in India - A Conceptual Literature Review

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has reshaped the global higher education landscape, demanding that institutions rethink how they deliver education, manage operations, and engage stakeholders. In India, this shift has been accelerated by government-led digital initiatives, growing student expectations, and the emergence of blended and online learning environments. Yet, the mere adoption of technology does not ensure meaningful or lasting institutional transformation. This paper presents a conceptual literature review examining the interplay between digital transformation and change management practices within Indian higher education institutions. Drawing on established theoretical frameworks — including Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's Eight-Step Model, and the ADKAR Framework — it explores the human and organizational dimensions of institutional change, with particular attention to faculty readiness, leadership styles, organizational culture, and communication strategies. The review identifies five recurring themes in the literature: leadership commitment, faculty readiness, communication effectiveness, organizational culture, and institutional sustainability. It further highlights context-specific challenges in the Indian higher education ecosystem, such as uneven digital infrastructure, budget constraints, and governance variability. The paper concludes by proposing a conceptual framework that integrates technological capability with human adaptability as dual pillars of effective institutional transformation.
