The Sharp Isoperimetric Inequality in the First Heisenberg Group

Abstract

We prove the sharp horizontal isoperimetric inequality in the first Heisenberg group for all sets of finite horizontal perimeter and positive finite volume, with equality precisely for left translates and dilates of the Pansu ball.
