Abstract

The study explores unsteady MHD nanofluid flow with bioconvection in a porous medium, with the inclusion of nonlinear radiation, inclined magnetic field, exponential heat source, Brownian motion, thermophoresis, and motile microorganisms. By similarity transformations, the governing nonlinear system is reformulated as ODEs, which are solved via MATLAB’s bvp4c technique. The influences of key dimensionless parameters unsteadiness, radiation, Forchheimer number, Peclet number, Brownian motion, Schmidt number, thermophoresis, and bioconvective Schmidt number on velocity, microorganism density, concentration, and temperature are analysed in detail. The radiation parameter increases both velocity and temperature, while Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters elevate profiles of temperature along with nanoparticle concentration. On the other hand, the motile microorganism density diminishes with higher unsteadiness, Peclet number, concentration ratio, and bioconvective Schmidt number. These findings highlight important insights for improving biomedical heat exchangers, enhancing catalytic reactor performance, and advancing thermal management systems.

Numerical Analysis of Heat Transfer Efficiency in a Two-Phase Non-Newtonian Nanofluid Model with Chemical Reaction

Second-grade nanofluids are both flexible and viscous, which is why they are valuable in thermal manufacturing, the polymer industry, and biological procedures. Whether injection or suction is used, an increase in the fluid parameter, porosity, or inertia coefficient results in a lower velocity. The thickness of the th...
