Perancangan Sistem Monitoring Service Record Laundry Machine Berbasis Web Menggunakan Metode Rapid Application Development

Abstract

Zi Laundry Express, a laundry service company located in Batam City, currently records washing machine maintenance activities manually. This manual approach makes it difficult to organize and monitor maintenance histories, service schedules, spare part usage, and maintenance expenses effectively. In addition, the lack of an integrated information system limits the company's ability to monitor machine conditions efficiently, which can negatively impact operational performance. This study focuses on creating and implementing a web-based solution to these problems of Laundry Machine Service Record Monitoring System that enables systematic and well-documented maintenance management. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, which consists of the Requirements Planning, User Design, Construction, and Cutover phases, was used to construct the system. Laravel was utilized as the backend framework, MySQL served as the database management system, and Bootstrap was employed to create the user interface. The resulting application incorporates various features, including user authentication, machine and spare part management, maintenance ticket management, service record documentation, maintenance scheduling, a monitoring dashboard, user administration, and maintenance report generation. To ensure that the system met all specified functional requirements, Black Box Testing was conducted as the primary validation method. The findings demonstrate that the proposed system enhances the maintenance management process by providing a more organized recording mechanism, improving the monitoring of machine conditions, centralizing maintenance history and spare part usage data, and enabling accurate and efficient maintenance reporting. All system functions perform as planned, according to the Black Box Testing results, indicating that the application is appropriate for implementation as a maintenance monitoring solution for Zi Laundry Express.
