Patriotic Movements Through the Eyes of University Students: An Analysis of the Level of Awareness and the Potential for Integration into Physical Education Classes

Abstract

Patriotic education is one of the fundamental and strategic tasks aimed at strengthening and preserving civic identity, serving the Motherland, and creating a safe environment for both the individual and the entire popula-tion of the country. The article explores patriotic education activities and the potential for developing necessary skills in physical education classes. A survey was conducted among students of the Siberian Institute of Man-agement – Branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, re-garding their participation in events and attendance at patriotic movement clubs or centers. The article discuss-es the introduction of elements of patriotic education in physical education classes, which will contribute not only to students’ readiness to meet performance standards, improve their health, and master their physical skills, but also to fostering respect for the laws and traditions for the fellow citizens, as well as protecting the interests and national security of the country.
