Abstract
The article proposes a method through which a differentiated consideration of active power losses in electric power systems (EPS) is formulated. Its applicability and efficiency in the study and operation of real electric power systems are substantiated.
This article discusses the application of electric energy storage devices in the power systems of shunting diesel locomotives. The proposed circuit solutions allow for reducing the diesel fuel consumption of the locomotive and increasing the power and torque on the shaft of the locomotive's traction engine.
