Abstract

We study Bernoulli percolation and its universality classes on hierarchical lattices generated by edge iterated graph systems (EIGS). By examining eight critical exponents, we prove that no finite family of substitution-multiplicative dimensions completely determines universality, providing a rigorous proof of the failure of dimension-based universality discussed by Hauser and Saxena [Phys. Rev. B 34 (1986), 8193-8195]. Although the six exponentials theorem provides number-theoretic criteria for scale commensurability, we further disprove the conjecture that critical-exponent universality requires commensurate discrete renormalisation scales.

Iterated Graph Systems (III): Alexander-Orbach conjecture on hierarchical lattices

Can the Alexander-Orbach conjecture hold on hierarchical lattices? We construct Gromov-Hausdorff-Prokhorov scaling limits of critical percolation clusters on hierarchical lattices in the chemical metric and determine the typical spectral dimensions of the associated diffusions. These dimensions are dense in $(1,2)$; ho...

Locality of Bernoulli Site Percolation on Transitive Graphs

We prove locality of the critical probability for Bernoulli site percolation on infinite, connected, locally finite, vertex-transitive graphs, under the usual assumption that the critical probabilities stay uniformly below one. The proof develops site-percolation forms of the two-ghost inequality, sharp-threshold and s...

Dimension properties of a family of random self-similar iterated function systems

In this note we present a dimension formula for certain randomized self-similar sets. The self-similar sets we are considering are $d$-dimensional generalizations of rational projections of inhomogeneous sponges: they have overlaps, but the overlapping structure is in some sense well-organized. The randomization happen...

Non-perturbative finite connectivities in supercritical Bernoulli percolation on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ with $d\geq 3$

We solve a longstanding problem in Bernoulli percolation: we derive sharp Ornstein--Zernike asymptotics for the probability that two distant points are connected by a finite cluster in the whole supercritical regime. Our proof has two main ingredients. First, the renewal structure from Fridbergh and Hammond (2024) yiel...

Disorder on the hyperbolic square lattice I: Anderson delocalization and absolutely continuous spectrum

We study the Anderson model on hyperbolic lattices. The graph is the Cartesian product of the Euclidean lattice with the regular hyperbolic square lattice having five squares at each vertex. We prove the existence of absolutely continuous spectrum and the absence of singular spectrum on a deterministic set of positive...

Recurrence of strong-decay inhomogeneous long-range percolation clusters

We prove recurrence criteria for inhomogeneous long-range percolation in dimensions one and two. In dimension one, recurrence follows from a purely geometric scarcity condition: long edges eventually disappear on exponential scales. This applies to weight-dependent random connection models and related one-dimensional s...
