Post-material values and the search for meaning in the digital era
The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the transformation of post-material values in the context of the digitalization of society and to determine their impact on the search for meaning and the identity formation of the contemporary individual. The article examines changes in the traditional ethos under the influence of the digitalization of social practices, the algorithmization of communication, and the proliferation of platform-based forms of interaction. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of the concept of “algorithmic post-materialism”, which is defined as a new form of reproduction of post-material values in a platform society. It is shown that the digital environment acts not only as a space for realizing the values of self-expression, autonomy, and self-realization but also as an independent mechanism for their production, legitimization, and dissemination through algorithmically organized communication. As a result of the study, it is established that digital platforms are becoming significant institutions for shaping value orientations and the symbolic recognition of the individual. It is revealed that the search for meaning in a digital society acquires a predominantly individualized character and is increasingly carried out through the practices of digital self-presentation, networked interaction, and the construction of digital identity. Finally, it is established that digitalization transforms the ways of reproducing post-material values, shifting the processes of meaning-making into the domain of algorithmically mediated social communication.
Key Models of Political Communication among Young People in the Context of Digitalization
The article formulates the main factors determining the construction of political communication among young people today. In this regard, some modern conditions, in which the formation of a civic position and political socialization of the younger generation takes place, are identified as well. First, these are the processes of in-formatization, digitalization, psychological destructurization, and manipulation that explane certain problems and potential conflicts, additionally determine the ideological, value, and behavioral characteristics of youth communication. With this in view, six pivotal models of young people political communication at the present stage are developed. The authors conclude regarding the need to strengthen youth self-awareness and search for effective ways to form the national and state identity among young people as applied to this issue. Particular focus is placed on such notion that whatever the choice of a specific model is, it is important to handle any cat-egories of national security and state entirety.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS AT WORK: EVIDENCE FROM ROUND 10 OF THE EUROPEAN SOCIAL SURVEY FOR 13 FORMER TRANSITION COUNTRIES
Abstract The growing use of digital communication technologies, including instant messaging, videoconferencing, and real-time collaboration platforms, has transformed organisational communication and reshaped working conditions across Europe. The effects of these technologies on employees’ work experiences are multifaceted. On the one hand, digital communication can increase autonomy, flexibility, coordination, and efficiency. However, it may create expectations of constant connectivity and continuous digital availability. The widespread adoption of digital tools can therefore improve collaboration while simultaneously increasing the risks of information overload, weakened interpersonal relationships, and technostress. This paper presents selected findings on employees’ attitudes towards digital communication in the workplace, drawing on recent cross-national data from Round 10 of the European Social Survey and covering 13 former transition economies. The survey includes a set of questionnaire items that enable the construction of variables for examining respondents’ perceptions of work-related digital communication practices. The analysis focuses on respondents’ assessments of the extent to which digital communication facilitates work coordination and improves job effectiveness. Particular attention is given to communication with colleagues and line managers in written form, including text messages, emails, and messaging applications, and through screen-based communication such as videoconferencing. The study also considers differences associated with respondents’ sociodemographic characteristics, including gender, age, and educational attainment. The findings contribute to a better understanding of how employees experience digitally mediated communication in the workplace. They also reveal considerable potential for further research into the relationships between digital communication, work-life interference, job satisfaction, labour-market inequalities, technostress, and other relevant dimensions of contemporary employment.
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF COMMUNICATION PROCESSES IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITALIZATION
The paper analyzes e-democracy as a “bottom-up” mechanism that enhances transparency and allows citizens to participate directly in decision-making through tools like electronic petitions, participatory budgeting, and online consultations and concludes that harmonizing domestic legislation with European standards and creating specialized communication units are vital for avoiding politicized propaganda and ensuring professional governance.
Digital Brand Communication in the African Economy: A Critical Review of Theory, Practice, and Emerging Issues
With digital technology significantly revolutionizing the way organizations interact with their customers, digital brand communication has become one of the most critical components that can help organizations develop a competitive edge and build long-term relationships with their customers. Even though digital communication has been rapidly developing in the modern world, there is little understanding of digital brand communication in Africa and specifically in Nigeria through the prism of the relevant academic literature. The purpose of this review paper is to analyse the development, theoretical background, drivers, and perspectives of digital brand communication in Africa. Using an approach of narrative integrative review, this paper critically examines existing literature available in various disciplines such as communication, marketing, branding, and information systems in order to gain insight into the concept of digital brand communication in the new digital ecosystem. Some of the key factors that determine effective digital brand communication are social media marketing, personal communication, content marketing, influencer marketing, user generated content, electronic word of mouth, artificial intelligence, omnichannel communication, and mobile first engagement. Digital brand communication is constrained by infrastructural constraints, digital inequality, privacy issues, cyber security threats, regulatory concerns, and cultural diversity. Through the synthesis of Relationship Marketing Theory, Consumer Engagement Theory, and the Technology Acceptance Model, a comprehensive theoretical framework for digital brand communication in Africa is proposed by this study. This literature review adds to the body of knowledge through its analysis of digital brand communication in relation to the African context, the development of a comprehensive perspective, and a research agenda that can be used in future research. The results of the study are valuable in their recommendations for the design of ethical and consumer-centric digital branding that could build brand equity and competitive advantage in Africa.
