Abstract

Advancements in information technology are encouraging Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to utilize digital applications to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. A common challenge faced by MSMEs is manual inventory management, which leaves them vulnerable to recording errors, data loss, delayed reporting, and discrepancies between recorded stock data and actual physical inventory. This issue also affects Toko Murni, an MSME engaged in the sale of daily necessities. This study aims to design a web-based inventory application to computerize the management of incoming goods, outgoing goods, and overall inventory levels. The system development method employed is the Prototyping model; this allows the design process to be driven by user needs through stages comprising communication, quick planning, quick design, prototype construction, and delivery, evaluation, and feedback. The designed application offers integrated features for managing product data, recording stock transactions, and generating inventory reports. The study results in a web-based inventory application capable of streamlining stock recording and monitoring in an integrated, real-time manner. The application is expected to improve data accuracy, accelerate information retrieval and report generation, reduce the risk of data loss, and minimize recording errors, thereby supporting more effective and efficient inventory management for Toko Murni.
