Abstract
To address Direct Current (DC) bus voltage fluctuations and degraded voltage regulation in high-speed operation of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG)-based More Electric Aircraft (MEA) power systems, a dual-loop control strategy combining feedforward decoupling and voltage-feedback field-weakening is proposed. Mathematical models of the PMSG and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) active rectifier are established, and a vector control scheme with outer voltage and inner current loops is designed. Feedforward decoupling suppresses d–q axis coupling, while voltage-feedback field-weakening extends the operating speed range and stabilizes the DC bus voltage. A MATLAB/Simulink model is developed to verify the proposed method under steady-state, load variation, and wide-speed-range conditions. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy maintains a stable 270 V DC bus voltage with fast dynamic response, accurate current tracking, and improved high-speed voltage regulation, demonstrating its effectiveness for MEA power generation systems.
This paper proposes a robust sliding-mode control (SMC) strategy for a single-phase PWM AC–DC boost rectifier intended for wireless electric vehicle charging systems. The controller is designed to achieve two main objectives: accurate synchronization of the input current with the grid voltage for power-factor correctio...

This article proposes a robust control strategy to minimize grid current harmonics in three-phase diode rectifier-fed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives featuring a small DC-link capacitance. First, a virtual impedance-based active damping scheme is introduced to emulate a series R-C damper. This suppress...
Traditional model predictive current control (MPCC) usually applies only one voltage vector in each control cycle, which limits the voltage-vector regulation capability and may lead to relatively large steady-state current and torque ripple. Although the dual-vector method improves the voltage regulation capability, th...
Three-phase active front-end (AFE) rectifiers are widely deployed in motor drives, electric vehicle chargers, and grid-connected renewable energy systems, where precise DC-link voltage regulation is essential for stable converter operation. In practice, DC-link capacitance degrades over time, and load profiles vary dyn...
